FIELD: medicine; cardiovascular surgery.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for brain revascularization in case of occlusion of the common carotid artery (CCA). The following is proposed: a method of brain revascularization in case of occlusion of the common carotid artery, in which the common carotid artery, external carotid artery and internal carotid artery are clamped, after which the external carotid artery and internal carotid artery are alternately cut off from the common carotid artery, the common carotid artery is sutured, an anastomosis is performed between external carotid artery and internal carotid artery, the clamp is removed from the external carotid artery, retrograde blood flow from the internal carotid artery is formed to push air out of the anastomosis area, then the clamp is removed from the external carotid artery and blood flow from the external carotid artery to the internal carotid artery is started.
EFFECT: method allows to perform brain revascularization in the presence of CCA occlusion and eliminates the risk of developing distal embolism and ischemic stroke.
