SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to diagnose early neurological disorders in patients with type 1 diabetes. Validated questionnaires COMPASS-31, DN4 and the fibromyalgia questionnaire FM-Q are used. Confocal microscopy of the cornea is performed. With a total of more than 34 points on the COMPASS-31, DN4 questionnaires and 50 points or more on the FM-Q fibromyalgia questionnaire and the following indicators of early neurological disorders when performing confocal microscopy of the cornea: number of main nerve fibers 3.78±1.03, nerve branching 4.72± 2.55, nerve fiber tortuosity coefficient 14.31± 4.76 early neurological disorders are diagnosed in patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus.

EFFECT: method provides diagnosis of early neurological disorders in patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus through the use of validated questionnaires COMPASS-31, DN4 and the fibromyalgia questionnaire FM-Q and confocal microscopy of the cornea.
