FIELD: measurement technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention concerns a non-contact method for measuring temperature. Temperature is measured using fluorescent probes by measuring the ratio of the luminescence intensities of two fluorophores included in the probe, which is two chromophore centres connected by a short oligonucleotide bridge containing no more than eight bases. To measure the temperature of the object under study, fluorophores are selected so that their fluorescence intensity depends on temperature and effective energy transfer occurs between them due to Forster resonance. Fluorescent probes are added to the object, the fluorescence intensities of the emission band maxima are measured, and their ratios are calculated. The temperature of the object is determined from the calibration curve. To excite fluorescence, an excitation source with a quasi-monochromatic spectrum is used.

EFFECT: providing the ability to measure temperature fields in a liquid medium with high spatial resolution and using a single wavelength to excite fluorescence.
