FIELD: batteries.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the production of precursors of fluorine-conducting solid electrolytes (FCELs) for batteries operating at elevated temperatures. To synthesize barium-lanthanum fluoride using the melt solution method, weighed amounts of barium nitrate, lanthanum nitrate hexahydrate, sodium fluoride and sodium nitrate powders are mixed. In this case, weighed portions of barium nitrate and lanthanum nitrate hydrate powders are placed in an agate mortar and ground at room temperature until the mixture becomes homogeneous. Then add weighed amounts of sodium nitrate and sodium fluoride. The crucible with the resulting mixture is placed in a muffle furnace and heated to a temperature of 400°C up to 500°C with heating rate 10°C per minute and holding time in the oven from 1 to 6 hours, leave in the oven to cool to room temperature. The cake is removed from the crucible and washed with bidistilled water while stirring with a magnetic stirrer in a polypropylene reactor. After each wash, the mother liquor is decanted. The presence of nitrate ions is monitored until the desired product Ba(1-X)LaxF2+x is obtained, where x=0.3-0.5.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to obtain single-phase non-agglomerated barium-lanthanum fluoride powders with high ionic conductivity at a temperature not exceeding 500°C.
