FIELD: medicine; X-ray radiology; vascular surgery.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to study blood circulation in the peripheral arterial microvasculature of the lower extremities. Intra-arterial administration of the radiopharmaceutical Macrotech 99 mTc at a dose of 3.4 MBq per kg of patient body weight is performed through a catheter installed endovascularly over the aortic bifurcation. Next, single-photon emission computed tomography is performed in whole-body scanning mode and perfusion assessment in the lower extremities is performed.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to study arterial blood flow in the microvasculature of the lower extremities, to qualitatively and quantitatively assess perfusion disturbances in functionally significant muscles of the lower extremities through the use of the radiopharmaceutical Macrotech 99 mTc.
