Abstract RU 2809023 C2

FIELD: organic chemistry; pharmacology.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions is aimed at the treatment or prevention of a disorder of the central nervous system that can be alleviated using a GABAA receptor modulator. The following is disclosed: a compound of formula I, wherein X is selected from H; R1 is selected from CH3 and CD3; each of R2-R9 is independently selected from H and D; either in free form or in the form of a pharmaceutically acceptable salt, provided that at least one of R4-R9 is D. Additionally the following is disclosed: a pharmaceutical composition for the treatment or prevention of a central nervous system disorder amenable to amelioration by a GABAA receptor modulator containing a therapeutically effective amount of the above compound, with a method of treating or preventing a central nervous system disorder amenable to relief by a GABAA receptor modulator, comprising administering to a patient in need thereof, a method of inducing sedation or anesthesia in the patient in need thereof, wherein the method includes administering a compound of formula I to a patient in need thereof, as well as using this compound in the manufacture of a medicinal product.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides effective treatment of the central nervous system disorders associated with the GABAA receptor.
