FIELD: welding.
SUBSTANCE: method for producing a compound of heterogeneous materials used in shipbuilding, aviation, chemical engineering, power engineering and other industries. The goal is achieved by the fact that the method involves special preparation of the ends of the welded parts for butt joints using friction stir welding techniques. A milling machine is used to machine the surface of the edges into a saw blade, and a friction stir welding tool can be used.
EFFECT: increasing the strength and tightness of joints of heterogeneous materials.
