FIELD: pyrolysis of hydrocarbon compounds.
SUBSTANCE: reactor for a pyrolytic reaction features the cross-section of the flow of a layer of solid particles moving in the direction of gravity changes along the length of the reaction zone. In addition, the reactor includes electrodes located in the reaction zone in the form of concentric rings. A method for heating a reactor for pyrolytic reactions is also disclosed.
EFFECT: ensuring uniform heating of the reactor and prevention of blocking of the reactor by particles.
