FIELD: film wrapping equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to equipment and a method for wrapping film around an object. Equipment for wrapping film around an object located on a pallet contains a carriage and at least one device for blowing air. The carriage is configured to contain a film reel and is equipped with an outlet configured to pass the film. The device is located in accordance with the release, is integral with the carriage and allows the end of the film strip, after it exits the carriage, to be located on a platform around the base of the object. The method of wrapping the item includes the following. Load the film spools into the carriage so that the end of the film comes out through the outlet. The device is activated so that the end of the film is located without tension around the base of the object. The film reels are activated. An object or a movable piece of equipment is rotated around the object so that the end of the film begins to wrap around the object. Wrap the remaining portion of the film and continue rotating until the amount of film released is such that the tension is sufficient to attach the film to the item.
EFFECT: simplified release, attachment and wrapping of the film around the object.
