SUBSTANCE: group of inventions is related to a hookah system, a hookah device, an aerosol-generating product for a hookah system. The hookah system contains an aerosol-generating product (90) and a hookah device (50). The aerosol-generating product (90) contains an aerosol-generating substrate (92). The hookah system further comprises a first electrode (15) and a second electrode (16). The hookah device (50) contains a liquid cavity (54) configured to accommodate a volume of liquid and having an outlet (60) of free space above the liquid level, a product cavity (14) configured to receive an aerosol-forming substrate (92) and in fluid communication with the cavity (54) for liquid. The hookah device further comprises a generator circuit (10) configured to connect to the first electrode (15) and the second electrode (16). The generator circuit (10) is configured to supply a radio frequency (RF) alternating voltage to the first electrode (15) and the second electrode (16), wherein the RF voltage between the first electrode (15) and the second electrode (16) creates an alternating radio frequency (RF) electromagnetic field between the first electrode (15) and the second electrode (16) for heating the aerosol-generating substrate (92) when the aerosol-generating article (90) is placed in the article cavity (14).

EFFECT: possibility of dielectric heating of the aerosol-generating substrate in the product cavity is provided.
