INDIVIDUAL RESCUE SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR RESCUING PERSONNEL FROM COMPARTMENTS OF DAMAGED SUBMARINE Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC B63C9/00 B63G8/40

Abstract RU 2809777 C1

FIELD: rescue equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of rescuing personnel of damaged submarines and concerns equipment and technology for submariners to independently exit the compartments of a damaged submarine lying on the bottom. An individual rescue system for rescuing personnel from the compartments of a damaged submarine lying on the bottom includes a rescue hatch with a lock system, which includes the submariner’s rescue equipment, a tethered pop-up emergency information device cable, and a carabiner for grabbing the cable. The cable of the tethered pop-up emergency information device has a double cross-section in diameter. The carabiner is made with an elastic latch, a mode switch, a main and a pressure rollers and a pressure roller spring. For individual rescue of the personnel from the compartments of a damaged submarine lying on the bottom, a tethered pop-up emergency information device with life rafts is released. Exit of a submariner wearing the rescue equipment through the rescue hatch, followed by ascent to the surface of the sea and boarding the inflatable life rafts. After exiting through the rescue hatch, the submariner, in order to ascend to the surface of the sea, latches the carabiner to a thin section of the cable, which is tied to the pop-up emergency information device, using the elastic latch, which, after latching to the cable, returns to its original position, preventing the cable from disengaging from the carabiner.

EFFECT: improved efficiency of rescuing submariners from a damaged submarine lying on the bottom.
