FIELD: gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the maintenance of domestically produced ball valves to ensure their operating condition. The method of removing contaminants from the surface of a spherical valve through the lubrication system of a ball valve is carried out as follows. A device for removing contaminants from the surface of the spherical valve through the lubrication system of the ball valve is connected to the lubricant supply fitting using a threaded connection. By rotating the handle of the device, the rod presses the locking element of the lubricant supply fitting, opening its shutter. A mixture of lubricant or sealing material with contaminants, under the influence of gas pressure from the behind-the-ball cavity, through the open valve of the fitting, enters a device that prevents the release of contaminants into the environment and onto technical devices located near the working area.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at eliminating excess pressure in the “saddle-spherical gate” interface zone of ball valves and ensuring their operational condition.
