FIELD: production of molded activated carbons.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of production of molded activated carbons from carbon-containing raw materials, in particular to the use of granulated sugar as a binder in the production of molded activated carbon, as well as a method for its production. The method includes crushing of raw materials selected from the group: buckwheat husks, coke, coal, pine nuts, peat with the addition of granulated sugar as a binder in an amount of 6-10% by weight of raw materials, extrusion, pelletizing, drying of pellets, pyrolysis and steam-gas activation. Moreover, the raw materials are crushed together with granulated sugar, moistened, extruded, palletized, the resulting pellets are dried, pyrolyzed at 550-750°C, and activation is carried out at 800-900°C for 30-100 minutes.

EFFECT: technical result of the claimed group of inventions is the production of activated carbon from all types of raw materials with specified characteristics with high yield, high strength and low ash content on any industrial equipment suitable for these purposes, as well as simplifying the process of preparing pellets for their further processing.
