FIELD: carbon sorbents.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for producing a carbon sorbent in the form of spherical granules from vegetable raw materials, characterized in that dried fruits or seeds of fruits with a diameter of 2 to 10 mm are used as vegetable raw materials, which are subjected to activation with soluble salts of carbonic acid with a concentration of 5-10 wt.% at a mass ratio of starting material: activator equal to (1):( 0.5-2), by stirring for 24 hours at a temperature of 20 to 50°C, the raw material impregnated with the activator is dried at a temperature of no more than 60°C for 12 hours and subjected to carbonization by heating at a rate of 5-10 degrees / min up to 250-600°C with holding at the final temperature for 30-120 minutes.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to produce a carbon sorbent in form of spherical granules from vegetable raw materials.
