METHOD OF PREDICTING SHIFT IN ACID-BASE BALANCE OF FETAL BLOOD DURING PREGNANCY Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC A61B5/107 A61B5/145 A61B5/02 A61B8/00

Abstract RU 2810176 C1

FIELD: medicine; obstetrics; gynecology; perinatology; human anatomy; pathological physiology.

SUBSTANCE: cardiotocographic study of the fetus is carried out, and the acid-base balance of the fetal blood is calculated using a prognostic formula. In a woman under examination up to 10 weeks of pregnancy, body fat and skeletal muscle mass are calculated using bioimpedance analysis. After 22 weeks of gestation, ultrasound examination of the placenta is used to determine the homogeneity and thickness of the placenta. After 32 weeks of pregnancy, the amplitude of oscillations is calculated using a cardiotocographic study of the fetus. The received data is recorded in the protocol.

where ABB is the acid-base balance of the fetal blood, A is the fat mass of the body of a pregnant woman in%, B is the skeletal muscle mass of the body of a pregnant woman in%, C is the amplitude of oscillations in the gestation period after 32 weeks in beats per minute, D is ultrasound assessment of the placenta in gestation after 22 weeks, where 0 is a homogeneous structure of the placenta without hyperechoic inclusions, 1 is single hyperechoic inclusions of the placenta, 2 is multiple hyperechoic inclusions of the placenta, E is the discrepancy between the thickness of the placenta in millimeters and weeks of pregnancy after 22 weeks of gestation. When the acid-base balance of the fetal blood is less than 7.25, a shift in the acid-base balance of the fetal blood towards acidosis is prognosed.

EFFECT: method allows to non-invasively calculate an individual prognosis for the shift in the acid-base balance of fetal blood during pregnancy.
