METHOD FOR PREDICTING EARLY FETAL GROWTH RETARDATION ACCORDING TO PLACENTOMETRY AT 19-21 WEEKS OF GESTATION IN LOW-RISK PATIENTS Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC A61B5/107 A61B8/08

Abstract RU 2795084 C1

FIELD: medicine; functional diagnostics.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to predict early fetal growth retardation (IGR) according to placentometry data at 19–21 weeks of gestation in low-risk patients. When carrying out placentometry, the length (Lp) and thickness of the placenta (Thp), expressed in millimeters, are determined and the area of the placenta (Sp) is calculated using the formula: Sp=π*R2 where R is the radius of the placenta, which is 1/2 Lp; in mm. The placental ratio index (PRi) is calculated using the formula: PRi=Lp/Thp. With a cumulative determination of Sp less than 13,684 mm2 and a PRi value of less than 5.91, the risk of developing early IGR is regarded as high. With a cumulative determination of Sp more than 13,684 mm2 and a PRi value of more than 5.91, the risk of developing early IGR is regarded as low.

EFFECT: method provides the possibility of predicting the development of early IGR in patients of the low-risk group, which allows timely stratification of pregnant women into a group for additional examination methods and preventive measures, by performing placentametry and calculating placental parameters at 19–21 weeks of gestation during the second ultrasound screening for low-risk patients. the risk of developing early IGR.
