FIELD: medicine; cryosurgery; oncology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for computed tomographic monitoring of the ice sphere when performing percutaneous puncture cryoablation of bone tumors. Before the cryoablation procedure, the patient is placed on a computed tomography (CT) scanner table and sedated. A preoperative CT scan is performed and reformatted images of the area of interest are obtained. At least one cryoprobe is installed into the tumor. During the cooling cycle, the gantry of the computed tomograph is deflected so that the axis of the installed cryoprobes does not coincide with the scanning plane. A control scan is performed without moving the tomograph table and control images are obtained. Control images are compared with reformed images, with the angle of reformation equal to the angle of inclination of the tomograph gantry.
EFFECT: method eliminates artifacts from cryoprobes and improves the quality of CT images due to gantry tilt.
