SUBSTANCE: group of inventions is intended for the treatment of joint pain. A pharmaceutical composition suitable for delivery of the medicinal product to the joint for the treatment of joint pain, comprising a mixture of lipids with the first phospholipid, the second phospholipid and cholesterol in mol%: 29.5 to 87: 3 to 37.5: 10 to 33, respectively, and an effective amount of a steroid or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof; wherein the first phospholipid is 1,2-dioleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphatidylcholine (DOPC), 1-palmitoyl-2-oleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphatidylcholine (POPC), soy phosphatidylcholine (SPC) or egg phosphatidylcholine ( EPC), and the second phospholipid is polyethylene glycol-distearoylphosphatidylethanolamine (PEG-DSPE) or dioleoylphosphatidylglycerol (DOPG), and the total amount of phospholipids ranges from 90 mcmol to 150 mcmol per 1 ml of the said pharmaceutical composition. Use of a pharmaceutical composition in joint injection for the treatment of joint pain, wherein the pharmaceutical composition has the above formulation. A method of treating joint pain, comprising intra-articularly administering to a subject in need of such treatment an effective amount of a pharmaceutical composition with the above formulation.

EFFECT: use of a group of inventions provides a balance between increased therapeutic efficacy and minimization of the side effects of a therapeutic agent, namely a steroid, with a suitable total amount of phospholipids in the range from 90 mcmol to 150 mcmol per 1 ml of the said pharmaceutical composition.
