FIELD: radiopharmaceuticals.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to obtain technetium isotopes used to form diagnostic radiopharmaceuticals for the studies of the brain, heart, thyroid gland, lungs, liver, gall bladder, kidneys, skeletal bones, blood, tumor diagnostics, as well as in nuclear technologies. An electrolytic method of the manufacture of molybdenum targets for the production of technetium isotopes involves the electrodeposition of molybdenum from an electrolyte. Electrodeposition of molybdenum is performed from the eutectic melt NaCl-KCl-CsCl with the addition of MoCl3, with a Mo content in the said melt of 5–7 wt.% in metal equivalent. The process is carried out at a temperature from 700 to 800°C and cathode current density from 0.01 A/cm2 to 0.15 A/cm2 in an inert atmosphere of argon to obtain molybdenum targets with a thickness of 0.14 to 0.346 mm.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to produce plastic molybdenum targets for the production of technetium isotopes with high current efficiency, increased molybdenum deposition rate without any side processes and electrolyte losses.
