FIELD: switching devices.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a switching device and an arc-extinguishing chamber for it. The arcing chamber includes the first contact, the second contact, arc rings located between the first contact and the second contact and forming an arc gap, and the third contact located between the first contact and the second contact and moving axially. The arcing chamber further includes an annular thermal expansion chamber and an axial thermal expansion chamber. The annular thermal expansion chamber is configured to collect annular arc energy. An annular thermal expansion chamber surrounds the periphery of the arc gap between the arc rings. The axial thermal expansion chamber is configured to collect the axial energy of the arc. An axial thermal expansion chamber is located on the side of the first contact remote from the second contact. The axial thermal expansion chamber communicates with the arc gap. The third contact, when moving the opening, moves away from the first contact and towards the second contact. Part of the generated arc energy is introduced into the axial thermal expansion chamber through axial air flow, and the other part of the arc energy is introduced into the annular thermal expansion chamber through air convection and radiation through the arc gap, using all the arc energy, avoiding losses and thereby improving energy utilization arcs.
