Abstract RU 2811290 C1

FIELD: medicine; otorhinolaryngology.

SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for urgent restoration of nasal breathing. The patient's torso and head are tilted to the side at an angle that ensures a position in which the wing of the nose on this side becomes the bottom of its cavity, and the lower edge of the opening of the lower half of the nose rises above its bottom by at least 3 mm, the position is fixed and inserted into this half of the cavity nose drop. Then the middle part of the fingertip is applied to the edge of the wing of the nose and press it against the nasal septum until the hole is closed, after which, intermittently with an interval of 1 second, the distal part of the fingertip is pressed onto the wing of the nose 3 times in a row for 1 second each time, while spreading the pressure of the pad finger sequentially from the edge of the wing of the nose in the proximal direction and thereby pushing the liquid contents in the nasal cavity deep into the common nasal passage. After this, the massage is stopped, the hole of this half of the nose is opened and the same is repeated with the other half of the nose.

EFFECT: method ensures that the drug solution injected into the nose is pushed deep into the common nasal passage, the surfaces of the inferior turbinates are removed from the surface of the nasal septum, the area of local interaction of the drug with the mucous membranes of the nasal cavity is increased, nasal breathing is restored, mental and physical performance is improved, and the feeling of fatigue and drowsiness is reduced with no surgical incisions, rhinitis, nosebleeds and nasal tamponade.
