FIELD: medicine; ophthalmic surgery.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used when performing minimally invasive intrastromal keratoplasty. A bed and access points are formed in the cornea of the eye. The diameter of the bed is 5.2–8.5 mm, but not less than the diameter of the lenticule and a depth of 100–200 mcm from the anterior surface of the cornea. The accesses are formed so that the length of one access is 1–3 mm, and the length of the second access is 2.5–4.5 mm, while the total length of the accesses does not exceed 35% of the circumference of the bed. The formation of accesses in the bed is performed simultaneously with the formation of the bed. A donor lenticule with a diameter of 5–8 mm is introduced into the bed through an access. Before introducing the lenticule into the bed, the lenticule or bed is moistened, and the lenticule is folded. After introducing the lenticule into the bed, it is fixed.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to shorten the postoperative recovery period by reducing the duration of surgery.
