FIELD: experimental medicine; cardiology and pulmonology.
SUBSTANCE: using a diagnostic catheter, selective arteriography is performed with introduction of a radiopaque agent into the target (lower lobe and middle lobe) pulmonary arteries, supplying blood to the tissues of the right and left lungs. Then, a microcatheter is inserted through a previously installed diagnostic catheter and embolization of the target arteries is performed by introducing a non-adhesive radiopaque polymer composition under fluoroscopic control. Diagnostic probing is performed every two weeks for three months.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to create a model of chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTPH), which has all the functional and histological signs characteristic of CTPH in humans.
