A wedge gate valve containing a body equipped with a central and through holes, flanges installed in the seat body, and a wedge gate interacting with the seats, connected to a retractable spindle located in the central hole of the body and installed with the ability to move in the body, a cover in which the stuffing box is located a seal and a drive installed at the free end of the spindle, the inner surface of the ends of the housing and the outer surface of the flanges are equipped with threads with which they are connected to each other, in the lower part of the housing, under the central hole, there is a cavity of rectangular cross-section, the upper and lower surfaces of the wedge valve have a rectangular shape and are located in parallel planes, and the upper surface has a smaller size than the lower, and the spindle is attached to the upper surface of the wedge valve, on which inclined rods are installed on both sides of the spindle, and a seal is attached to the lower one, contacting the sides with the walls of the cavity.

EFFECT: proposed design of the wedge valve prevents cavitation.
