FIELD: verification of electrical measuring instruments.
SUBSTANCE: method of verifying an electrical measuring instrument using the transmission by the operator (verifier) of standard signals of a unit of quantity (SSUQ) from a working standard (WS) located at a distance from the measuring instrument (MI) being verified in which SSUQs, previously recorded in digitized form on a storage medium, connected to the dedicated input of the SI being verified, after digital-to-analog conversion, are fed to the electrical circuit of the SI for checking, using the software built into the SI being verified, the compliance of its normalized metrological characteristics with the established requirements with automatic registration of verification results, which are sent to the verifier in digitized form in the SI being verified making a decision based on the results of the verification of measuring instruments.
EFFECT: transfer of a unit of value from the WS to the metering device being verified with maximum simplification of the verification procedure due to the avoidance of additional equipment and noise-affected public communication channels.
