FIELD: electroplating.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in various fields of science and technology, such as mechanical engineering, shipbuilding, aircraft construction and in the production of household appliances. A composite wear-resistant coating on valve metals and alloys consists of an oxide layer, the pores of which are filled with a Ni-B alloy using chemical-catalytic deposition. A method for producing a composite wear-resistant coating on valve metals and alloys involves microarc processing of their surface in a silicate-alkaline electrolyte, while the pores of the coating are filled with a Ni-B alloy by chemical-catalytic deposition.
EFFECT: increasing the wear resistance and adhesion of the coating to the base metal and the possibility of obtaining relatively thin composite coatings.
