FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of rapid and highly effective detection of microorganisms involved in the corrosion of metals, and can be used to monitor biocorrosion of both oil fields and any other objects containing metal structures. A set of oligonucleotide probes and a biochip are proposed to identify the main groups of microorganisms involved in the corrosion of metals, such as sulfate-reducing bacteria and archaea, methanogenic archaea, thermophilic metal-reducing archaea, denitrifying, enzymatic bacteria, acetogenic bacteria, hydrocarbon-degrading bacteria and bacteria belonging to the Enterobacteriaceae family. A method is proposed for the detection, identification and/or quantification of microorganisms that cause biocorrosion.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to significantly expand the spectrum and number of detected microorganisms involved in metal corrosion and increase the efficiency of monitoring biocorrosion.
