METHOD OF PREVENTING ENDOTHELIAL DAMAGE IN CRITICALLY ILL PATIENTS Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC A61K31/194 G01N33/49 A61P39/06

Abstract RU 2812594 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to intensive care of critical conditions, and can be used to improve the results of treatment of patients with peritonitis, sepsis, and new coronavirus infection. In patients in critical conditions, from the time of registration of multiple organ failure, the volume of infusion is calculated. With a calculated infusion volume of 10 ml/kg/day or less, infusion therapy is carried out with a solution of meglumine sodium succinate at a rate of up to 4.5 ml/min at the calculated dose. When the estimated infusion volume is more than 10 ml/kg/day, infusion therapy is carried out with a solution of meglumine sodium succinate together with crystalloid solutions and/or blood products. A solution of meglumine sodium succinate is administered in an infusion volume of 10 ml/kg/day at a rate of up to 4.5 ml/min through a separate vascular access. The administration of a solution of meglumine sodium succinate is carried out until the symptoms of multiple organ failure are relieved.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to achieve accelerated normalization of the initially elevated level of endothelial cells circulating in the blood in patients with a critical condition, as well as to reduce the severity of multiple organ failure, length of hospitalization, the number of complications, and also increase the chances of patient survival.
