The rod storage installation (B) contains a support plane (11), a bundle supply zone (12) and a rod delivery zone (13), connected to the corresponding opposite ends (18, 19) of the support plane (11). In this case, the support plane (11) contains a block for moving the rods (B) in the direction of movement (Z) at least from the beam supply zone (12) to the rod delivery zone (13). The installation contains a plurality of holding and transfer units (15). Each block (15) contains at least two holding elements (16) and at least two moving devices (17) connected to the holding elements (16).
EFFECT: automated storage of bars fed in bundles and their delivery to machines without downtime.
