FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: device comprises at least one monitoring station (27a, 27b) comprising base (34); rotating table (35) mounted on base (34) with possibility of rotation around corresponding to vertical rotation axis (Z); at least one control device (50) operatively active near rotary table (35); moving device (38) configured to rotate rotating table (35) about the vertical rotation axis (Z). Rotary table (35) has horizontal support part (36) configured to receive and support side wall (11) of tire (2) to be monitored. Support part (36) is movable in horizontal plane in compliance with two directions (x, y) relative to vertical rotation axis (Z) by means of actuator (45, 46). Detection device (47) is configured to detect deviation (S) between vertical axis (Z) of rotation and main axis (X-X) of tire (2). Electronic control unit (48), functionally connected to detection device (47) and actuator (45, 46), is configured to actuate actuator (45, 46) and displacement of support part (36) in accordance with two directions (x, y) depending on detected deviation (S) in order to make such deviation smaller than the predetermined value, for centering tire (2) relative to vertical axis (Z) rotation before performance of control operations.

EFFECT: technical result is shorter duration of assembly/manufacturing cycle, reduced volume of movement and device for monitoring, repeatability and high reliability of results and flexibility of entire control system with respect to each model of tire.
