SUBSTANCE: process cartridge, group of process cartridges, and image forming apparatus. The process cartridge includes a drive portion configured to receive a drive force from a drive mechanism in the image forming apparatus; an image forming structural section configured to be connected to the drive portion; and an information identification section containing a plurality of electrical contacts electrically connected to the image forming apparatus. When the process cartridge is installed in the image forming apparatus, the minimum distance between any of the electrical contacts of the information identification section and the side plate of the image forming apparatus adjacent to the driving portion is H, and the value of this distance H is determined in accordance with the information about attributes of the process cartridge and/or the mounting position of the process cartridge in the image forming apparatus. When the process cartridge of the present invention is removed from the device, the electrical contacts of the information identification section contact the corresponding contact detection section in the image forming apparatus.
EFFECT: improving connection stability and reducing wear during cartridge removal.
