SUBSTANCE: invention relates in particular to equipment for induction furnaces. The device is designed for long-term removal of slag from the cast iron molten surface during its smelting in an induction furnace. The device contains a platform, wherein the induction furnace contains a frame with a sliding bearing and a drain sock in the front part, and the platform contains a base, a box filled with slag, and an intermediate plate, and the platform is made adjacent to the front part of the induction furnace opposite the drain sock, the box consists from a bottom made of sheet steel, welded along the perimeter to the bottom of the corner, lined with broken refractory bricks bound with a refractory composition, and installed on the part of the base adjacent to the induction furnace, the base and the box are permanently connected through an intermediate plate, which has a curved part protruding beyond the perimeter of the box, base and frame, and covering the upper and side areas of the plain bearing housing.
EFFECT: creation of a device for fireproof protection of an induction furnace bearing.
