FIELD: infrared radiation sources.

SUBSTANCE: invention concerns a modular infrared radiation simulator. The simulator consists of a radiating plate coated with heat-resistant matte enamel, a reflector, a heating element located in front of the reflector, and a control unit. The outputs of each sensor are connected to the inputs of the control unit, the outputs of which are connected to the heating element. The radiating plate is a target of the head figure, which is made in form of a non-separable multi-cell structure with many geometrically shaped hollow cells separated from each other by dielectric walls, the inner surface of each cell is covered with a heat-shielding coating, and the heating element is made of n Peltier elements, each of which is placed in hollow cell.

EFFECT: providing the possibility of simulating a variable temperature field by the target of the head figure emitting in the infrared band of the spectrum using nominally point-source emitters over time according to a given program in various environmental conditions.
