SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for storage and/or transportation of cold fluid medium, particularly to the inter-panel heat-insulating insert, which is installed in the wall of the sealed heat-insulating tank of the membrane type to limit convection between two adjacent insulating panels, ensuring continuity of heat-insulating properties of the heat-insulating barrier of the tank wall. Heat-insulating insert (1) from gas-filled polymer for wall of membrane type tank for cold fluid medium is made with possibility of placement in inter-panel space (2) formed by facing each other sides of two adjacent insulating panels, and has the shape of a rectangular parallelepiped. Two opposite faces (5, 6) of which, after placing insert (1) in inter-panel space (2), are located perpendicular to the wall of the tank, facing sides (3, 4) of the insulation panels and in contact with them, wherein two opposite faces (7, 8) are located parallel to the tank wall and perpendicular to faces (5, 6). At that, on both faces (7, 8) of insert (1) there is one slot (9, 10) with height of not less than 70% of insert (1) height, which are parallel to each other and to faces (5, 6), as a result, insert (1) has cross-section, in fact, N-shaped.

EFFECT: simplifying the design of the heat-insulating insert, as well as its installation in the space between the adjacent insulating panels (inter-panel space) of the tank with provision of reliable heat insulation.
