FIELD: coatings.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for chemical-catalytic application of a nickel-phosphorus coating on a part made of steel, copper or brass. The workpiece is connected to the magnesium alloy plate using a copper rod and immersed in a nickel-phosphorus chemical-catalytic treatment solution containing NiSO4⋅7H2O and NaH2PO2. In the mentioned solution, the nickel-phosphorus coating is deposited at a temperature of 15-30°C.
EFFECT: provides a reduction in the temperature of the electroless nickel plating process and an expansion of the range of compositions for the chemical application of nickel-phosphorus coating while simultaneously increasing the speed and uniformity of coating on large parts.
