FIELD: glass.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to synthesis of refractory glasses for technical purposes, which can be used in chemical industry, optics and electronics. Method of melting yttrium aluminium glass involves preparation and averaging of the charge, and its melting in a plasma jet. Separate wet grinding of charge components is carried out, charge is poured into crucible, charge is dehydrated, and plasma synthesis of glass is carried out in crucible for 20 or 25 minutes at operating parameters of a plasma burner of 450 A and a plasma-forming gas flow rate of 0.0028–0.0042 kg/s.
EFFECT: acceleration of the process of obtaining the end product.
