FIELD: railroad safety.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to means of monitoring vigilance of a train driver. The method determines the location and speed of the train at the current time; the driver's face is recorded, the position of the driver's upper eyelids is continuously monitored in each frame, the loss of vigilance of the driver is recorded according to the specified parameters of the movement of the upper eyelids, and a sound alarm is initiated when a decrease in the level of vigilance is detected; recording of loss of vigilance is carried out in the absence of the driver’s face in the frame for 4-7 seconds, or for 1-2 seconds when one of the two conditions for loss of vigilance is met at moment X, when the maximum value of the fraction of time in the window is 30 seconds, when the eye is closed with the upper eyelid by more than 80%, in period 2 more than 90% of the values in period 1, and the maximum value in period 2 is at least 10 times greater than the average value in period 1, and the average value in period 2 is greater than 0, and the maximum value in period 1 is greater than 0.1, with period 1=X for values from (X-60) seconds to (X-30), period 2=X for values from (X-30) to X , where X is the response time of the automated system, or when in period 2 there are five or more cases when the eye is closed for more than 1 second when blinking.
EFFECT: increased speed of receiving a signal by a train driver in case of loss of vigilance.
