FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to urology, reproductology, clinical laboratory diagnostics, and can be used to determine the need for assisted reproductive technologies (ART) with sperm donation in idiopathic male infertility with non-obstructive azoospermia. In males with infertility of unknown origin, a testicular biopsy material is obtained, in which a state of spermatogenesis is examined by light microscopy on a histological section of the cross-sections of the convoluted spermatic ducts on a ten-point scale. Further, testicular stroma and presence of tryptase-active mast cells in 1 mm2, which are contrasted by immunohistochemical staining, are examined. If observing tryptase-active mast cells of 39 and more in 1 mm2 in the interstitium of the testicle with underlying spermatogenesis disorder of 6 points and below, the need for a protocol of assisted reproductive technologies with sperm donation is predicted.

EFFECT: invention enables to obtain information on the severity of the disturbed spermatogenesis due to a change in the cell microenvelopment in the testicular interstitium, and also provides higher accuracy of diagnosis of idiopathic infertility in men and assessment of the prospect of preservation of development of male germ cells.
