SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of pharmaceutics, namely to a non-aqueous preparation for external use, having a stimulating effect α₂ adrenergic receptor. Non-aqueous preparation for external use, having an effect of stimulating α₂ adrenergic receptor containing dexmedetomidine or its salt, from 0.5 wt.% to 10 wt.% of an aliphatic alcohol containing from 10 to 12 carbon atoms, from 1 wt.% to 12 wt.% of a propylene glycol monoester of a fatty acid containing from 8 to 14 carbon atoms, from 0.1 wt.% to 5 wt.% of an organic acid selected from one, two or more types of C₂-C₅ monocarboxylic acid, C₂-C₈ dicarboxylic acid, C₂-C₈ hydroxycarboxylic acid, C₄-C₈ ketocarboxylic acid and C₆-C₂₄ fatty acid, and from 0.05 wt.% to 5 wt.% of a salt of an organic acid selected from one, two or more types of salt of C₂-C₅ monocarboxylic acid, salts of C₂-C₈ dicarboxylic acid, salts of C₂-C₈ hydroxycarboxylic acid and salts of C₄-C₈ ketocarboxylic acid.

EFFECT: said invention inhibits deposition of dexmedetomidine crystals in the preparation and has satisfactory transdermal absorbability.
