ULTRASONIC ODORANT SPRAYING DEVICE Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC B05B17/06

Abstract RU 2814733 C1

FIELD: ultrasonic equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of ultrasonic equipment and can be used in systems for odorization of natural gas supplied to the main pipeline to ensure formation of a uniform fountain of finely dispersed drops. Device for ultrasonic spraying contains piezoelectric transducer, concentrator having element with spraying surface, in which there is a channel connected to channel for supply of sprayed liquid. Additionally, it comprises tight mixing chamber, ultrasonic generator, controlled switching device, second piezoelectric transducer and concentrator identical to the first one. Converters are located in explosion-proof housing, and concentrators — in mixing chamber. Each of the concentrators is connected to the converter by means of a waveguide, the output stage of which is located in the mixing chamber. Transducers are connected to the ultrasonic generator through a controlled switching device. Waveguide length is 0.5 λ, and the length of the output stage is 0.25 λ, where λ is the wavelength of ultrasonic vibrations in the material of the waveguide. Element with spraying surface is made conical with apex angle of 160—170°, wherein channel diameter makes 4–5 mm. And the length of the channel from the top of the element to the channel for supplying the sprayed liquid is equal to 0.25 λ + 10 mm.

EFFECT: invention provides stable formation of a fountain of microdroplets with dimensions of not more than 16,5 mcm during a long period of operation and stable fine ultrasonic spraying of the odorant during the service life of the device (odoriser) without overheating of the converter.
