SYSTEM FOR INFRARED REMOTE DIAGNOSTICS OF WATER CONTAMINATION WITH OIL PRODUCTS Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC G01N21/00

Abstract RU 2814742 C1

FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to detection and diagnostics of water surface contamination with oil products and can be used both for determining the source of emissions of oil products, and for analysing the oil product spot on the surface of the water area for the purpose of rational planning and development of environmental water treatment measures and rational water use. Complex for infrared remote diagnostics of water pollution with oil products, comprising a set of input optics of variable magnification, including an afocal lens, behind which a unit of switching lenses is installed to provide higher magnification, for example, with simultaneous reduction of viewing angle; infrared lens, which is a set of lenses made from material with high infrared radiation coefficient in range of 8–14 mcm: germanium, silicon or optical ceramics; scanning device realizing vertical scanning and horizontal scanning; system of mirrors consisting of a semi-transparent mirror and a mirror for dividing the infrared beam into two parts; two interference filters of different transmission capacity; photodetectors; preamplifiers and amplifiers; image signal processing unit; a computer or a system for transmitting information to a ground control station; GPS or GLONASS receiver. According to the invention, the photodetectors used are a two-channel photodetector unit, which is two uncooled vanadium oxide VOx microbolometric matrix detectors.

EFFECT: remote detection of water surface contamination with oil products with possibility of performing rapid and detailed analysis of oil products spot using equipment which does not require cooling of infrared photodetector matrix, which allows using light unmanned aerial vehicles due to reduction of equipment weight and its energy intensity, as well as increase range and duration of carrier flight.
