FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, pathological anatomy and oncology and concerns a method for predicting the risk of tumour growth progression in breast cancer. Intravascular invasion is determined by histological examination and immunohistochemical analysis with antibodies to CD 31, wherein the method consists of two stages. At the first stage, histological diagnostics is carried out by staining the preparations with haematoxylin and eosin, after which the presence or absence of tumour cells in the lumen of blood vessels is determined. Second stage involves an immunohistochemical study with antibodies to CD 31 — cell adhesion protein and antibodies AE1/AE3 to pancytokeratin, which stain blood vessel cells and tumour cells in different colours. Then presence of tumour cells in a lumen of blood vessels is determined. If at any stage presence of intravascular invasion is established, then there is a high degree of probability of tumour growth progression. If there is no intravascular invasion at two stages, there is a low degree of probability of tumour growth progression.
EFFECT: invention provides predicting the risk of tumour growth progression in breast cancer.
