FIELD: smoking accessories.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a portable aerosol-generating device. Aerosol-generating device comprises an area for accommodating a cartridge configured to receive the cartridge. Cartridge contains a liquid substrate which forms an aerosol. Cartridge accommodation area comprises opening element. Opening element is configured to pierce the sealing foil of the cartridge when the cartridge is placed in the area for accommodating the cartridge. Area for accommodating of the cartridge is made with the possibility of placement of the cartridge in the transverse direction on any of both sides of the device.
EFFECT: creation of an aerosol-generating device with prevention of cartridge leakage during attachment of the cartridge to the aerosol-generating device.
