SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a kit for an aerosol generating system which comprises an aerosol generating device and an elastic, easily compressible mouthpiece cap, device comprises a housing comprising an aerosol generating substrate, an outlet opening formed in the housing, wherein the housing comprises a first wall surrounding the outlet opening and a second wall surrounding the first wall, forming between the first and second walls an annular recess with an open end, wherein the annular recess is suitable for holding the elastic mouthpiece cap attached to the housing; wherein the elastic mouthpiece cap comprises a tubular portion configured to be inserted into the annular recess and configured to allow, during use, passage of an aerosol delivered through the outlet opening, through the mouthpiece cap and into the user's mouth; and the aerosol generating device is a smoking device and comprises such an amount of an aerosol generating substrate sufficient for multiple smoking sessions, and the kit comprises multiple mouthpiece caps.
