FIELD: testing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to testing objects for the impact of impact loads, namely for the formation of a unipolar two-stage overload pulse, with a reduced level of the second stage relative to the level of the first stage, during impact testing. The platform preliminarily dispersed on the shock stand with the test object is braked by a braking device fixed on the end facing the platform, which can move in the direction of the anvil impact. The braking device has a constant level of braking force corresponding to the level of the first stage of a reproducible two-stage overload impulse that occurs during the braking of the platform with the test object. The movement of the anvil in the direction of impact is slowed down along the entire path of the anvil until it stops at the end of the braking process of the platform with the test object fixed on a fixed base, the second braking device having a constant level of braking force, the value of which is less than the corresponding indicator of the first braking device and corresponds to the level second stage of a reproducible two-stage overload pulse.
EFFECT: ability to reproduce a unipolar two-stage overload impulse at the test object.
