FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to biotechnology, specifically to a CAPS type molecular marker for identifying Pisum sativum L. plants homozygous for the PsLykXA allele. Invention also relates to use of said marker for use in selection of pea plants. To implement the pea plants identification method, pea plants DNA is amplified using a pair of primers A1B1 or A2B2, which are part of a molecular marker, hydrolysis of the amplification product is carried out using the restriction endonuclease Hpy188III, which is part of the molecular marker, and the number of hydrolysed amplification products and their size are determined. During hydrolysis of the product amplified using a pair of primers A1B1, in case of detecting two fragments of size 217 bp and 164 bp, a plant of seed peas Pisum sativum L. is identified as homozygous for allele PsLykXA. During hydrolysis of the product amplified using a pair of primers A2B2, if two fragments of 127 bp and 81 bp are detected, the Pisum sativum L. pea plant is identified as homozygous for the PsLykXAallele.

EFFECT: invention increases efficiency, speed and accuracy of identification, as well as simplifies identification of plants of peas Pisum sativum Linnaeus, homozygous for allele PsLykXA, causing formation of high specificity in relation to symbiotic nodule bacteria.
