FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates in particular to antifriction composite materials based on powdered iron, intended for the manufacture of parts of friction units operating under conditions of limited lubrication and high temperatures. The iron-based composite material contains copper and carbon. The composite material additionally contains copper oxide (Ⅱ) in the following ratio of components, wt.%: copper 28.0-32.0, carbon 0.3-0.7, copper oxide (Ⅱ) 1.5-2.5, iron - the rest.
EFFECT: achieving the high values of heat resistance and wear resistance of the resulting composite material.
