FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and pulp and paper industry and can be used in production of cable paper intended for insulation of cables and various electrical devices. In the method of making cable paper, cellulose with ash content of not more than 1% is subjected to grinding at fibre weight fraction of 25–35% to form long fibres which form a fibrous carcass. Further, one or two stages are milled at mass fraction of fibre of 3.5–5% with formation of fine fibre, which fills the space between carcass fibres during formation of paper web. Then, when forming the paper web on the paper-making machine, the forming mesh is shaken due to oscillations of the breast shaft in the axial direction. At that, speed difference between net and paper stock jet discharged from head box onto net should vary from 0 to 30 m/min. Formed paper web is subjected to micro creping with formation of transverse folds and/or micro folds.
EFFECT: increased strength and elasticity of cable paper in all directions, as well as improved dielectric characteristics.
