Technical result is achieved by the fact that a holder for an elongated aerosol-generating device, which defines a longitudinal axis, is provided, comprising a cover and defining a docking space for accommodating the aerosol-generating device, wherein the cover is movable between a closing position, in which the cover closes at least a portion of the docking space, and a non-closing position, and when the cover is in the closing position, the first portion of the cover defines a first curve, and when the cover is in the non-closing position, the first part of the cover defines a second curve, wherein the radius of curvature of the second curve is greater than the radius of curvature of the first curve, and when the elongated aerosol-generating device is placed in the docking space and the cover is in the closing position, aerosol-generating device is enclosed in the holder so that the device is completely surrounded by the holder, and the first curve is bent around the longitudinal axis of the elongated aerosol-generating device.
