Technical result is achieved by the fact that the holder for the aerosol generating device has a coupling structure configured to engage with the aerosol generating device, wherein the docking structure comprises a docking space formed between the first end and the opposite second end located at a distance from the first end and fixed relative to it, wherein the docking space is configured to accommodate the longitudinal dimension of the aerosol generating device, wherein the holder comprises a retainer for engagement with the end of the aerosol-generating device for retaining with the possibility of disconnection of the aerosol-generating device in the docking space, and the retainer has a first surface fixed relative to the first end, and a second surface extending from the first end into the docking space, wherein the second surface is configured to deflect relative to the first end when engaged with the end of the aerosol generating device, wherein the second surface of the retainer comprises or is formed from an elastically deformable elastic or elastomeric material, wherein said elastically deformable elastic or elastomeric material comprises or is a nitrile, and the resilient deformation of the elastically deformable elastic or elastomeric material enables the second surface of the retainer to deflect relative to the first end.
